Banning Orkut !!??

Yeah ! I know, it sounds laughable !!

In this age of progressive liberalism and free speech, we have a few regressive elements in society who are in perennial reverse gear.

Everyday they come up with innovative surprising ideas that ages ago could have, perhaps, been progressive. Way back in B.C times !!

And now this ! This from the stables of Shiv Sena.

I feel sorry for these guys. Its a pity they can't tolerate differences of opinion. Its a pity they can't find passive forms of protest.

Love for one's motherland is one thing but stretching it to violent proportions is totally another.

Anyways, why should these "Hate India" messages be given free publicity.

Having preached all the above, I do accept that I too feel hurt when artists in the name of freedom violate religious sentiments of people. Be it the cartoons of the Prophet (pbut) or the paintings of Hindu gods and goddesses by M.F. Hussain, test the boundary's of religious tolerance.

But again there is a thin line between intolerance and acceptance.

We, in India, must raise the bar to higher levels.

Sometimes I think we are on the way to B.C . Back to home.

Opinion matters .
