History making and the Mountains of Myth

Couple of days back, a friend of mine sent me a mail with a link to a column in the Pakistani online newspaper - The Dawn. The column was a very interesting read.

Basically, the columnist Prof Shahida Kazi, was talking about history making in Pakistan and how successive governments in Pakistan have fed the people with tall tales of Pakistan's history.

It would be very surprising to Indian readers when they learn that Pakistani history about the country is different and at times diametrically opposite to subcontinental history as taught in history books in schools and colleges in India.

If you are an avid reader who believes that there is always more than one perspective to a point, this would surely interest you.
