Support Freedom of Speech and Expression

No matter what, the freedom to express one's ideas and opinion is sacrosanct and non-negotiable. Whatever may be the medium of expression - speech, print or vision media, or the internet.

Lately, an incident has occured that has threatened this freedom. Incidents between IIPM and the bloggers has caught the attention of everyone.

So please Support the Freedom of Speech - Freedom of expression.

Guys,
I think the IIPM Vs Blogger thing is nothing but the publicity stunt by the blogger. One unknown blogger has been made into a hero for standing up against the mighty IIPM! He has not quit the Prime Minister position. Maybe he got a better job offer.

As we all know IBM sold off their handware unit to Lenova. So I don't understand why will IBM get involved in this mess.

As with the Chappell Vs Ganguly affair, we have seen that it is easy for anyone to throw dirt on the other and some some will start beliving the dirt as truth.

I don't think the freedom of expression is the issue here. If the blogger can prove in the court that IIPM had done what he had claimed to have done, then he can very well respond to the legal notice.

I think he most probobly does not have proof for his theory, and that is the reason why he is trying to get the help of other bloggers. One second try to think from IIPM shoes. If the allegation is false, then this blogger would have killed the reputation of an institution.

Will we stay quite, if someone says in the public domain, that we have stolen something or raped someone?

IIPM Vs Blogger: no official statement given by IBM on that.

Also, in my opinion, the freedom of speech is best removed by oneself!

It is very rare that a human speaks what he "feels". Where is freedom in this?

Anonymous...the freedom is there to speak freely and express your ideas and opinion. But if one does not wish to use that right...its his or her prerogative.

Inner feelings have nothing to do with it.
