The Administration starts wooing

The bush administration has finally jumped headlong into Muslim wooing tactics. The denial of visa to the chief minister of Gujrat state of India is a pointer.

For the administration's decision to dig deep into India's politics and use that as a strategy seemed surprising initially.

But lets look at the facts.

For the US, Narendra Modi (CM of Gujrat) is a zero risk target. The administration stands to loose nothing from this stunt.

On the contrary it stands to gain the applause of muslim groups in the US for acting in the interests of muslims all over the world.

Remember this coincides with the statement of Dr. Rice (Sec. of State) that the US has always acted to protect the interests of muslims all over the world , be it in Yugoslavia, Afganistan, Kuwait or Iraq.

And so what a neat way to start off, with this denial of entry to a local leader of India who allegedly was responsible for the religious strife in the state.

India has protested this action of the US, but who cares. So what if India is pissed ? Would that bother the administration, naah !!

Would the administration treat, in a similar way, any dignitary from China ? Would they deny entry to chinese leaders who were involved in the Tiananmen Square massacare ?

The administration is off to a good start, notwithstanding the effect this would have on the Indo-US ties.

I wish the administration all the best.

This stunt is totally uncalled for.. The Report was out long back...why are they denying it now.. This is a major setback to India's Democracy Image which has already been damaged due to what I call them "Sequence of Unfortunate Events". God Please Save India...
